Who Let the Dogs Out..or The Dog Days are here early

It's been in the 90's here since, oh....May. Usually we have a spring, but this year it lasted about 5 minutes and segued into summer overnight. Here in Nashville, Tn, the humidity is what does you in. I want to make a move out West. Las Vegas. Everyone around here says, "Boy, waddaya wanna move out there fer? It's 120 degrees in the summer..." yeah, but the humidity is like 11% most of the time. I have done shows in Vegas in 110 degree heat, and never broke a sweat. I walk out on my back deck and breath here, and I am drenched in about 30 seconds. I think the thing I hate most is that everything has an underlying sheen of dampness to it. The sheets in the bed, clothes, even the cat is damp! Last time I went to Vegas, I packed my stuff and got on a plane and arrived at Ceaser's Palace. We were escorted to our lovely room, and I began to un pack. ALL my clothes were wet. I managed to bring the humidity from Tennessee to Las Vegas. I hope they were thankful for the water I brought them. No, seriously, if you take all the humidity that people bring to Las Vegas in their suit cases that evaporates into the L.V. atmosphere, it has to add up to a lot. (or not).

Anyway, I love it (add sarcastic inflection here) when I go into the bank, or the grocery store, and SOMEONE will HAVE to ask..."Hot enough for ya?" or "How about this heat?" What is up with that? In winter, it's "Cold enough for ya?" "Can't wait til Summer..." yeah, right. Why do people ask that? "What do you think of the heat?" I can only answer..."I HATE it just like you do...Shut up and bag my damned groceries..."

So, It's a day to hibernate. Stay in the cave and do vocals on the new CD project. I think I'll Call it Ronnie Lee Twist and The Future Cats...Hot enough for you?

Have a great day. Would love for you to follow the blog
